Welcome back! I'm Mr. Booth, and this is my first year teaching at Central. Prior to teaching at Central, I taught freshman chemistry labs and recitations at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ, where I earned a Master's degree in Chemistry. During my last semester of graduate school, I worked as an adjunct professor at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, NJ teaching freshman chemistry. My hobbies outside of school include snowboarding, fishing, hiking, and eating good food. I'm also an avid hockey fan (go Flyers!).
I am available for extra help on Thursdays after school, as well as periods 3, 5, and 8 during the school day. I can usually be found in F108 or F110. F110 is the chemistry prep room adjacent to classroom F108; please knock on the door if it is closed.
I will communicate with you all regarding assignments, labs, tests, etc. through PowerSchool Learning (formerly known as Haiku). You will usually receive physical copies of everything in class, but please check PowerSchool Learning regularly for due dates, extra copies of handouts, etc.
I'm looking forward to a great year with all of you!
