Congratulations to the West Morris Central HS students pictured above for their acceptance into the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) All-Eastern Honor Choirs. West Morris Central is well represented with ten (10) students earning a place between the two honor choirs of Treble Chorus and Mixed Chorus.
“This is unprecedented in my time here at WMC, but it's not a surprise based on the relentless hard work that these students put into the audition process,” said WMC Choir Director Mark Stingle. The High School All-Eastern Honor Choir is open to singers in grades 10, 11, or 12. Students from across the East Coast submit audio recordings that test their technical ability as well as their musicianship. These 10 lucky musicians will spend four days in Providence, RI in preparation for a gala concert in March, and they will be treated to a private concert with the world-renowned choral group, Voces8.
Accepted into the Treble Chorus are Diya Bajaj, Sophia Passaro, Violet Klapal, and Maya Janssen. Accepted into the Mixed Chorus are Elisa Castro, Mikayla Kelly, Ally Dilling, Anabelle Ortiz, Nico Sloan, and Mikey Vespignani.
